Elizabeth Newman

Dr. Elizabeth Newman is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Emory University and a part of Emory’s Computational and Data-Enabled Science <CODES> Group. Prior to joining Emory as a faculty member in Fall 2022, she worked with Dr. Lars Ruthotto as a Postdoctoral Fellow. She earned my PhD from Tufts University in Spring 2019, advised by Dr. Misha Kilmer. Her research interests include numerical (multi)linear algebra, deep learning, and optimization.
