About the Speaker
Felipe Montealegre-Mora

I'm a Costa Rican postdoc working in machine learning applications to ecogical and wildlife management. My academic path started out in physics, where I studied quantum information theory through grad school. After this, I switched fields, focusing mainly on reinforcement learning applications to environmental decision making. Now, for my second postdoc, I'm at the Eric and Wendy Schmidt Center for Data Science and the Environment, where I'll be working on co-developing machine learning and data science tools for indigenous environmental stewardship.
